You don't have to be Mexican to enjoy these tasty Cinco de Mayo Appetizers. When I think of this festive holiday, my mind immediately leaps to great guacamole, homemade tortilla chips and a whole host of other delicious mexican foods.

Here are some fun recipes to serve if you plan on serving mexican party foods, celebrating this holiday. Or if you were invited to a CDM party, then take your pick as to what you might want to bring to your host or hostess. The point is, the appetizers here are all delicious and will be enjoyed by all.

Here's a little bit of history about Cinco De Mayo:
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. It is often called Mexican Independence Day in error since Mexico declared its independence on September 16, 1810, some fifty years earlier.

Cinco de Mayo is celebrated more enthusiastically by Mexican descendants in the United States than in its native Mexico. Celebrations include not only wonderful Mexican foods, but also parades, mariachi music, and folk dancing.
