Cocktail Sandwiches
Little bites of yummy!
These little bites are super easy to make - a hold over from the 50s - using common ingredients. This fun party appetizer looks so pretty and people will gobble them up - perfect to serve for a mother's day brunch or a shower or any kind of elegant gathering. And you can make them up to 4 hours ahead of time. Just cover them tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate. How easy is that?
Spread mustard on one side of half the bread. Spread horseradish on one side of the remaining slices.
Cut ham into 8 pieces and each slice of cheese into fourths.
Place one slice Swiss cheese on 8 slices of bread with mustard. Top with bread spread with horseradish, then ham slice. Top with bread spread with mustard, then American cheese and or Swiss cheese. Place remaining bread atop cheese. Add a little bit of lettuce if you choose to.
Divide olives and tomatoes among cocktail picks and skewer sandwiches.
This easy appetizer makes 16 mini sandwiches. Serve on your favorite party platter.
