Are you a Snacker? Well, I am too. So here are some healthy, every day snacks you can make easily and quickly for the Snack Meister in your family.
Snacking is big business for the food industry, but not always so great for those of us who are addicted to snacking.
It's becoming common knowledge that the snacks most major food companies put out there for the public are filled with fat, salt, preservatives, sugar and a whole host of other unsavory ingredients that don't help you or your kidlets' health.
So, I've pulled together some excellent ideas for every day snacks from some wonderful resources, (my mother included!) and would love to share them with you.
Apple Surprise Simple and delicious - anyone who loves peanut butter will love this snack.
What you'll need: - 1 apple - peanut butter - apple corer
Take an apple, core it with any corer appliance and fill the center of the apple with peanut butter (organic, smooth and creamy, or crunchy). You can even cut the ends off of the core and replace them on the apple - giving the illusion that you still have a full, uncut apple. Then, when your kidlet bites into the apple, they get a wonderful peanutty surprise!
Prep time is only 5 minutes!
