Hot Asiago Dip
This lovely hot asiago dip is great for those cold winter months, or just because you are craving it! It's a lower-fat version of another hot cheese dip, but packs a punch when it comes to flavor. Easy to make and great to eat, friends and family will love it. Great for parties, gatherings and family movie night. What you'll need: - 1 cup of nonfat cottage cheese - 1/3 cup of nonfat cream cheese - 2 tsp. of Dijon mustard - 1/4 cup of Asiago cheese (grated) - 2 green onions (finely sliced) - 1 Jalapeņo pepper (fresh, seeded and minced) First, place the cottage cheese and cream cheese in a blender or food processor. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Then, add the mustard, Asiago cheese, green onions, and the minced Jalapeņo pepper. Blend until all is thoroughly mixed for about 30 seconds or so. Next, scoop the dip into a 2-cup microwavable dish and cook on High until you feel it is heated through. Depending on your microwave, this should take about 3 minutes. Serve it up nice and hot. This delicious dip recipe makes about 1 and a half cups. I like it best served with baked tortilla chips. Pita chips are good with it too. And as low-fat as this is, it's still packed with great flavor.
