Manchego and Membrillo Tapas
Cheese lovers Alert! You will love these manchego and membrillo tapas. This Spanish cheese is smooth, creamy and full of flavor. What's not to like? Combined with the tart taste of Quince, you'll swoon with delight with the first bite. Enjoy! What you'll need: - Manchego, or similar ewe's milk cheese - Membrillo - Spanish quince paste Just cut the cheese into small slices. In Spain, it is usually sliced to make small triangles. Cut the Membrillo also into slices, smaller than the cheese slices and stack on top of the manchego cheese. Now all you have to do is arrange the cheese and quince paste on some cute plate and serve! So darn easy and so darn good! You can find out more about Membrillo and other ingredients for traditional Spanish Tapas by visiting our Tapas Ingredients page. I happen to love this tapa as an appetizer breakfast. I grew up on the weird combination of cheese and jelly sandwiches and this wonderful combo of cheese and quince reminds me of that childhood sandwhich. Why not have it for breakfast? (or lunch, or dinner, or before bedtime?) Enjoy!
