| Salmon Dip is one of my favorites because it has one of my favorite ingredients in it - horseradish! I don't know about you, but when it comes to horseradish, I go a little nuts. I love the stuff! And this salmon-horseradish dip is no exception. It's a horseradish lover's dream come true. Try it and serve it next time you need a holiday appetizer. It's an easy appetizer recipe and goes well with those occasions that call for a new chips and dip idea. But don't wait for the holidays, it's good any time of year. What you'll need:
- 1 15-ounce can of Pink Salmon
- 8-ounce package of cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup horseradish
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- romaine lettuce (nice and crisp)
- paprika
- crackers
- celery sticks What to do:
First, drain the salmon and remove any skin parts if you wish (but not necessary.) Mash up the bones - they are so small that once mashed will not be a problem and you will not know they are there. Next, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, horseradish, salt and garlic powder all together until nice and smooth. Then, mix in the salmon until well blended. Take your romaine lettuce and arrange the leaves in a festive looking bowl (Make sure your bowl isn't too deep.) Then, spoon the salmon mixture into the bowl and sprinkle with paprika. You can make this ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to serve with crackers and celery sticks. This recipe for Salmon Dip serves 6.
